In that article, three Ohio diamonds, all found in the last century, were described: a stone found in Cuyahoga County, south of Cleveland, about 1870; an occurrence in Hamilton County about 1880; and a discovery in 1899 in Clermont County.

In general, diamonds do not increase significantly in value over time. Outside of a small number of rare or colored diamonds, the vast majority of diamonds have decreased slightly in value over the last few years, making them a poor investment from a price appreciation perspective.

Flawless (FL): This is the highest grade and signifies that no inclusions or blemishes are visible under 10x magnification. Internally Flawless (IF): No inclusions are visible under 10x magnification but blemishes (external characteristics) may be visible under the loupe.

Lab diamonds cost a lot less than natural diamonds - typically a lab diamond will cost between 60% and 85% less than a natural diamond with identical carat weight and grades.
