Kay Jewelers make their diamonds seem more affordable by advertising them as 1.0-carat when, in fact, they sit at around 0.95 carats. Most would know that a 0.95-carat diamond will have a smaller price tag than a diamond weighing 1.0 carat.

Fancy color diamonds are graded Z and higher. Most KAY diamonds are graded "near colorless" - between G and J on the color scale. At a J grade and beyond, the human eye can start to detect a yellow tint.

Few Things to Remember We can't return or compensate you for any diamonds or color stones you send. We only accept used jewelry; not anything new or that appears to be new. Don't send investment metals - ingots, coins, bullion or bars. We do accept dental gold, scrap gold, gold flakes and gold nuggets.
